Blod och rost
What does the end of the world look like? Grey and silent—or loud, colourful, and strange? Every year, hundreds of people gathered at an abandoned sinter plant in Stråssa, Sweden, to step into a shared post-apocalyptic fantasy. Over ten years, I documented this world and the people who inhabit it.
The project is published as a 254-page hardcover photobook titled Blod och rost – drömmar om undergången (in Swedish).

Rötter are a tribute to the healing power of nature. Can we find peace in nature? Less analysis. Deeper breath. What happens to us when we stand still in the forest, put our thoughts away and put our hand against an old tree trunk? These are people close to me who long to return to a simpler, less stressful life.
